START Clean Energy Project Development

DOE’s Office of Indian Energy is accepting applications for the third round of Strategic Technical Assistance Response Team (START) Renewable Energy Project Development Assistance. Through START, federally recognized tribal governments and other tribal entities can apply for and are selected to receive on-the-ground support to accelerate clean energy project deployment.
Eligible applicants include Indian Tribes, Alaska Native regional corporations, and formally organized tribal energy resource development organizations. Applicants designated as White House Climate Action Champions will also benefit from START Program assistance and will be given preferential consideration. Up to five projects will be selected.
