Gathering Knowledge and Data to Inform Restoration

Accurate information and scientifically sound data are critical for making decisions about how to restore watersheds. To this end, we conduct on-the-ground watershed assessments, gather spatial data, collect and analyze water quality data, and consider how big drivers like climate change are affecting our watersheds. In addition to collecting field data in problem areas, we like to get a better understanding of how things have changed by documenting reference areas, looking for historical information, and talking with people who know the area well.
