Deadline for application for the RECREATIONAL TRAILS GRANT PROGRAM. Applications and instructions will be available on the State Trails Office webpage http://dnr.alaska.gov/parks/aktrails/ on August 15, Please use them! Grants will not be accepted on outdated applications. In addition, the Director of the Division of Parks and Outdoor Recreation has increased the application limit for Recreational Trails Program motorized trail projects to $100,000. All trail grants have traditionally been capped at $50,000, however, increasing the amount will make the RTP-required expenditure ratio of 30% motorized, 30% non-motorized and 40% diversified, more attainable.
