Tongass Advisory Committee Phone-In Event

| The U.S. Forest Service will host a live public phone-in event Friday, January 31 at 12:00 noon to discuss how to apply for membership on the Tongass Advisory Committee. The TAC will provide advice and recommendations this year on an ecologically, socially, and economically sustainable forest management strategy on the Tongass National Forest with an emphasis on young-growth management. Those interested in applying for membership on the Tongass Advisory Committee before the February 27 deadline may call to hear Forest Supervisor Forrest Cole and TAC Coordinator Nicole McMurren provide information on the role and purpose of the Committee as well as what is expected of Committee members. Callers will be invited to ask questions after brief opening remarks by Cole.
