Deadline for comments on the request for WATER QUALITY DATA/ INFORMATION for the development of Alaska’s 2014/2016 INTEGRATED WATER QUALITY MONITORING and ASSESSMENT REPORT (Integrated Report). This biennial report describes to Alaskans the health of Alaska’s waters (as required by the federal Clean Water Act) and includes the list of impaired (polluted) waters. DEC encourages the public to submit any existing and readily available water quality related data and information for consideration by the Department in preparing the 2014/2016 Integrated Report. Updates and revisions will also be made to the final 2012 Integrated Report. A final Integrated Report is required to be submitted to the Environmental Protection Agency by April 1, 2016. The final report will be available to the public. Additionally, the DEC Division of Water is also providing NOTICE of TWO PLANNING DOCUMENTSrecently completed and the public is encouraged to review these strategic plans.
