Over 2005 and 2006, TIWC coordinated a stream condition assessment of Taiya Inlet streams and rivers. Funding was provided by the USF&WS Coastal Conservation Project and the surveys were carried out using methods developed by the Alaska Department of Fish and Game for Southeast Alaska. By identifying impaired habitat and fish passage obstructions in the watershed, TIWC can initiate future projects to address these problems. Survey results were mapped and documented in a final report, which is available in the TIWC office.
