JWP Board of Directors

Maura Sullivan, President

Maura Sullivan is an Attorney-Advisor with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS). Before coming to Juneau, Maura was a member of Ocean Shores and Our Ocean Coalition volunteer in Oregon. She also previously volunteered for the Friends of the Chicago River as a Teacher Advisory Board Member. Maura is passionate about getting kids involved in science and hopes to increase the JWP’s involvement with youth science education. While Maura has only been on the Board since 2014, she has graciously accepted the role as Board Chair after only serving a few months on the Board. During her free time, Maura enjoys quality time with her son Seamus and husband James.

   
Erik Norberg

Erik Norberg, Vice-President

Erik has lived in Juneau since 1996 and he is passionate about protecting the environment, clean water, and fish habitat. Erik currently works for the State of Alaska Department of Transportion and Public Facilities. He previously worked with the U.S. Forest Service understanding the controls on streamflow and how climate change may influence stream hydrology across the variable landscape of the Tongass National Forest, in Southeast Alaska. His research interests are in watershed-scale biogeochemistry and the influence of hyporheic exchange flows on ecosystem processes in small, forested streams.

   
 

Teri Camery, Secretary

Teri Camery is a Senior Environmental Planner with the City and Borough of Juneau. An avid kayaker, Teri has lived in Juneau since 1996. Teri has a strong interest in public education as an effective tool for promoting stewardship of local watersheds.

 

   

Aaron Jacobs, Treasurer

Aaron is the Service Hydrologist/Meteorologist for the National Weather Service here in Juneau. He received his B.S in Meteorology and hydrology from Penn St in 2001 then moved to Juneau and has been here for 14 years. He loves being outside hiking, camping, kayaking, fishing and playing with his dog Stickeen. Because of his interest in the outdoors, the sustainability of streams and clean water along with the natural habitat is something to fight for to have in the future. He has been with JWP since 2009.
